I adored Tony ❤️
I so enjoy Tom Cox's writing and as we celebrate the solstice I owe him a debt of thanks for sharing this video of Tony Hart creating a (mostly) pastel image of Stonehenge. An absolute trip down a time tunnel for those of us in the UK of a certain vintage. I'm sure I was absolutely gripped

Faith schools in the UK are a problem. As @profaliceroberts.bsky.social says here, every child deserves the chance to explore the world through evidence and reason. But the divisive and discriminatory nature of faith schools is failing thousands of children. 🧵

Big thanks in advance to anyone sharing this. It's my attempt to help get the book back into the world after my ex-publisher collapsed, putting it out of print for many months, and taking away my earnings from it (& six other books) in the process.

Hills, rivers, ghosts, psychedelic music & more.
I love maps so I'm giving away TWO signed paperbacks of my psychedelic/folkloric novel Villager each with these fantastic maps my dad illustrated of the fictional village in the book.Just repost this/reply below for a chance to win.

Every time I walk through a village or town & see English flags - which is every time I walk through a village or town in England right now - I wonder why no other European flags make me think instantly of racism and threats of violence, but also "England has remarkably shit ugly flags, doesn't it?"

I sent more than 70 of these yesterday via Royal Mail tracked 24, so hopefully a few of you have received yours today?
These books are free to anyone who wants them. They come from my late ex-publisher. If you want one, let me know in the replies (there are 200 in total).

If you can afford the postage, brilliant. If not, no problem. I'll still sign & post one to you tomorrow.
