Also, the "death of the artist" was predicated on the assertion that you *cannot* truly know an author's intention or inner heart. And while that's true, social media has made it much easier to be reasonably and actionably certain on their intent, something that couldn't have been predicted in 1967.

I've been playing Mechwarrior 5 with friends, and while I'll likely never get deep into Battletech again, I am deeply amused how bad robot design (and in some iterations, bad unit balance) was embraced as part of the game's lore and system mastery since it's inception.
