Whether or not China can shift its exports away from the US and to the developing world depends crucially on whether or not US trade policies will actually succeed in reducing the US trade deficit – something about which I am very skeptical.

If you think only billionaires can control social media, You are absolutely wrong. Social media is completely dependent on its users. Think about why you do or did use FB, ThreadsTik tok or Twitter. It's because they have enough users. Take away all the "normies" and they all are worthless

You still have people saying, "I don't see any evidence that Musk is a neo-Nazi." And it's like, I can't know what's in his heart, but he follows them on Twitter, retweets them, promotes their conspiracy theories, parrots their rhetoric, and now recommends their party for Germany. But who knows?

For those who haven't done the math, in the three months from August to November, CPI prices in China have declined at an annualized rate of just over 3.5%.

We couldn’t have asked for much worse inflation data for November. CPI inflation was up a very disappointing 0.2% year on year, versus a 0.3% rise in October and well under expectations of a 0.5% rise.

Orange County, CA in the 1960s was a hotbed of John Bircher anti-government, conspiracy obsessed activism. Many of the men involved with the Birchers also worked in the federally-funded aerospace industry. This book is great on that.
