Found this really useful re farmers' protest/the budget. Recommend this thread and @taxjusticeuk.bsky.social for the facts about tax rises - what works and what could be done better. As well as some of Jeremy Clarkson's motivations for wading in (spoiler: they might not be entirely selfless).
There's a lot of anger about reforms to how landowners are taxed
This is ultimately about raising money in a fair way to invest in our broken public services

the thing is, "undocumented migrants" isn't a polite euphemism. it is an accurate term. "illegals" is factually incorrect, as well as being loaded with a hatred for a group of human beings.
