It's so hard to contrast all the nice warm, Christmas feelings with the stress and trauma of what families of the hunger strikers in prison are going through right now. I've made a donation to them as part of my last minute Christmas shopping. chuffed.org/project/filt...

I genuinely despair at the continuous conflation of 'terrorism' and 'protest' in media spaces in the last few days. This is such effective right wing discourse that will undermine all kinds of democratic rights.

one of the things i think is that policies answer the question of “what will you do” but they don’t answer the question of “why should i vote for you” and i think there is a tendency in this broad conversation to equate the two
