This works the other way around too

You don’t have to push through something you’re not enjoying so you can “speak on it”

You can just drop it and move on with your life. You don’t have to force yourself to be a part of the conversation. Its okay!

You don’t have to think about other people or their perspectives when you’re playing a game. You can just play the game.

Unless it is your literal career. You are not obligated to go into a game with a reviewer mindset. Not sure why this is baked into so many gamer’s brains.

I think what’s missing in the thought process is again this ridiculous median-voter-ism that thinks successful democratic governance is about parroting back to people what they say they want. No! People want you to lead them in a direction, inspire them, confirm for them that we are moving forward.
