If any of the big publishers disappeared the others would just swallow and churn, so no loss. But imagine what the world of books would be without independent publishers? Doesn’t bear thinking about. Congratulations Kevin and Hetha, so glad you dared.
Twenty years ago Heth & I remortgaged our house to start a publishing company that would find great new stories others thought too risky to publish.

Our books have been short listed and won awards and two have been adapted into TV series.

Today we paid that mortgage off

Magic!

Welfare cuts, oh yes of course that is why we voted for them
Rachel Reeves should consider welfare cuts in budget, says right-wing IFS.

They want the govt to hurt the poor, old, sick, disabled; curtail redistribution which enables millions to survive.

Silence on corporate welfare, ending profiteering, tax abuse by corporations/rich.

It is class war.

Something to grasp and treasure. In these uncertain times. Although I wonder about unpublished work being posthumously released. 🤔

Shame on us all
Israeli settlers are attacking Palestinians and their homes in the West Bank, unchecked and with impunity.
These acts of violence are thuggish and inhumane.
The silence of the international community is a disgrace.
Shame on this world.

Russia’s war is escalating, not ending.

We must raise the cost on Moscow, strengthen support for Ukraine, and invest in Europe’s defence.

The EU plays a major role and we will support initiatives like the Eastern Border Shield defence line. (2/2)
