These spring mornings are a gift. Spring tides washing up on the Quay. Little moving in the still cool air, first thing but slowly everyone awakens. A morning dominated by the Thrush though today, such a beauty. #Firstbirdoftheday

An oasis of Light in the darkness of dusk tonight. As the big house shines like a beacon over the great Lake. Good to see as one mourns the loss of the Longley final poet triumvirate Heaney/Mahon/ the Belfast Group. They have cast a gentle shadow over my life, especially Heaney, these are sad days
