Ever noticed how right wingers claim that being gay/trans is the result of some sort of abuse?
They say that under the assumption that being victimized makes someone inherently less worthy of empathy/consideration because that's how they view people

it's like the way society treats abuse victims, which makes sense when we consider fascism is an abusive relationship at a larger scale
It’s just frustrating that the right wing never has to do shit, even when they lose. Never have to reach out, to welcome, to understand, to moderate their positions. They get to be who they are & never apologize for it and people will blame progressives for not putting up with that shit

Your city councilperson can do a lot! Like when they were rolling out the rat bins in NYC, sometimes areas that got them came down to those who asked! Good rep + ppl speaking up matters
