Thank you to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 for showing up and taking a stand this weekend. We loved the signs, so many of them made us laugh. This weekend showed that the resistance is growing and that we have friends everywhere! Scotland the Brave!

Most Anticipated LGBTQ+ Middle Grade: July-December 2025
Goat Magic by Kate Wheeler (August 19th) Destinies collide when a village goat herder meets the palace princess in Goat Magic! Trill, a spirited goat herder with a unique ability to communicate with her flock, yearns for a life beyond mountain pastures. Her “goat magic” feels common compared to the sorcery taught in the city’s prestigious magic schools, which are off-limits to her.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

17K words into this draft & I don’t hate it… It’s for some R&Rs, and hopefully I didn’t tear apart too much. 🤞🏽

I had no idea Kirkus reviewed What Fell From the Sky… but yay they liked it! They truly got the heart of the story, something that will be even more critical in the coming years- the importance of finding your voice and standing up for those around you. #kidlit

One of my favorite walks to help brainstorm a story is through this is old-growth forest near my house. Everything feels possible out there. 🌲

Research for current WIP has me hiking to old train tunnels where the darkness is so complete human eyes will not adjust. The whole place is believed to be haunted & looking into the tunnel I was certain something looked back. 👀

Forever looking to nature and the sky to remember there is still beauty in this world, especially now when everything feels so cruel and fragile. It was a starry starry night in my backyard last night.

Highly recommend It Found Us by @lindsayncurrie.bsky.social. A spooky middle grade ghost story, complete with a graveyard setting and a very creepy ghost, but also a well developed and tense mystery, all driven by the actions of a group of relatable characters. #middlegrade 📚👍
