The discharge petition to force a vote on the Epstein Files only received a handful of GOP votes.

But when we get the actual vote to release them, I'm presuming we'll see a whole lot more, right?

"Congressman _____ voted against releasing the Epstein Files" isn't an ad you want before the midterms

You guys hearing this? This and “congressman ________ voted against releasing the Epstein files.” Should give Dems a commanding win next November.
i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna
bring the hammer down on the corrupt self-dealing politicians and their rich friends and there are no sacred cows id give a pass”

Hassett’s comment says a lot more about what they’re comfortable with than it does about anything related to inflation.

HASSETT: We're comfortable that inflation has come way down

QUINTANILLA: Even though it's been increasing for 5 straight months?

HASSETT: Well I guess there's ups and downs and seasonals

Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

This sums up the cognitive dissonance of this administration so perfectly, it's a like a koan or haiku on the inebriating effects of absolute power.

If your newspaper is giving Donald Trump softer headlines and gauzier coverage than People Magazine, that should be a bit of a wake up call.

This video from Portland is a metaphor for what is going on in America. ICE trying so hard to get Americans to cross a line and if they don't, dragging them across the line and violently attacking.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

It is a never-ending fascination to me how people whose primary connection to Black Americans is watching the evening news feel entitled to broadcast presumed insights on an entire population.
Quote from Timothy Mellon, who donated $130 million to the U.S. military, so you know who we’re dealing with:

“Black people, in spite of heroic efforts by the "Establishment" to right the wrongs of the past, became even more belligerent and unwilling to pitch in to improve their own situations”.
