Use the classic recipes, but PLEASE use good quality ingredients... if you make the Toll House recipe with butter flavored shortening, ancient store brand flour, and sad eggs... it's not going to be good. 🤷

There are plenty of squash that will make a good pumpkin pie, but you DO NOT want to use the kind of pumpkin that you'd carve into a jack o lantern.
