Nationwide Stress
Stressful world events are destabilizing; plan how to keep yourself supported! Clinically speaking, this is definitely a week for anxiety and depression issues. And it's a week for people experiencing dismissal of their concerns about how scary things are right now, even by friends and loved ones. But it's reasonable to have emotional reactions to significant sociopolitical events. Having to go about everyday routine as though things are "normal" when you don't feel that way can make things worse.

After Claudine Gay's resignation, Rufo learned that plagiarism was a smear that he could use to attack scholars of race, no matter how flimsy the evidence.

(Some corners of academia have been dealing with this for 10+ years. Including mine.)

The very concept of “pre-existing conditions” as something not covered by insurance, and therefore solely the patient’s responsibility is immoral and as close an example of institutional cruelty as I can provide.

Just fucking evil.
