Unfuckingbelievable. Can Dem leaders start talking about impeachment already! Or would that be too devisive or MURC’s Law? Sure would’ve been nice if impeachment had been a topic of discussion when Trump (or his minions) decided to illegally kidnap a foreign head of state. They have fucked us so bad

Such an important point. Politicians tend to get seduced by the deus ex machina -- vaporware nonsense like "hyperloops" and flying cars -- while neglecting the systems that actually exist in the real world, can be improved, and which are already their actual responsibility to maintain and improve.

Among the bills vetoed by Gov Hochul in the close of the year,

the "Keep police radio public act," which would have ensured that police dispatch radio remained audible to the press.

Encrypted radio communications make it much harder for the press to keep law enforcement accountable.

A final reminder that Eric Adams is a certified bad person, not a lovable scamp who would have been a good mayor if he could have just done fewer crimes
Petty and pathetic. We will overturn these vetoes. Good riddance.

she responded. “Democrats don’t run against Democrats,” but further added “unless they’re Muslims, then it’s ok to spread lies about them and seek their censure, like Goldman has done with Zohran and Rashida Tlaib”.
Brad Lander approached Nancy Pelosi at a gala and told her he was running for Congress. “I am a Dan Goldman Democrat,” she responded. “Democrats don’t run against Democrats.”

“Was I too much of a b—?” she asked after.

The greatest enemy that Zohran Mamdani faces in his mayoral tenure won't be Trump, Cuomo, or even Jonathan Greenblatt.

It'll be The New York Times and other media executives that are enraged and terrified that a 34-year-old immigrant backbencher just casually showed the world they are hypocrites
Zohran Mamdani loves his Astoria, Queens, neighborhood, and the feeling is mutual. But voters who live near Gracie Mansion, his new home when he comes Mayor in January, really wanted his opponent to win.

It's fucking embarrassing. It never stops being fucking embarrassing, but this is just so plainly Russian propaganda being parroted openly by an American president that it hits another level of fucking embarrassing.
Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. It sounds a little strange but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices."

The conductors are the first line of defense against crime?! Tell me you’ve never ridden the train before. As if us riders have special feelings over the useless staton attendants either. The conductor’s don’t make us feel safe. They speak in gibberish thru the muffled PAs and close the doors on us.
Angling for the coveted John Samuelsen nativist endorsement with policy ignorance. Will TWU leadership fall for it and back an anti-labor Republican?

Murders down 20% in a year where all the losing candidates in the mayoral race took up "the city is so unsafe" as a talking point. We really need to start framing such talk as "people are trying to make money off of lying to you about this"
I highly doubt we're going to get to 300 (or under) but damn that's very close. Great news that NYC is going to have ~300 murders this year.

Are the various airport worker unions paying attention to this? It's a total failure by the Port Authority.
This should be a major scandal. The 30 day unlimited JFK AirTrain MetroCard is $42.50 and is used by tons of airport employees. The regular fare is $8.50.

Riders will surpass the 30-day rate in just FIVE taps. Airport employees, who can least afford a fare hike, will pay $300-$400 a month now!
