#BikeNYC #YNWA Married father of 2 living in Brooklyn. I’m not a “cyclist” - we just use cargo e-bikes instead of cars since it’s much more convenient to get around with kids.
Have you seen Ross Barkan’s ridiculous argument on how Trump isn’t a fascist? This comment perfectly called out his bad-faith style. Why can’t these people see what’s clearly in front of them? In Ross’s case, I think he sees this as best path for professional advancement substack.com/profile/1770...

I have written some stuff that I guess has some relevance to this debate. I guess that some of this work has been used to lend authority to the view that Trump is not a fascist. But I have to say that...

Are you illiterate? We have a case of law enforcement abuse of the worst kind and he’s more concerned with civility than the State expressing its desire to literally curb such law enforcement abuse that he’s supposedly “consistent in exposing”. Pick-me behavior! What an awful thing to say!

Right. Is this because if you’re an overachieving lower team, chances are you’re winning via counter-attack and emphasis on defense whereas if you’re at a leading team, you’re expected to attack?

That’s crazy. I had no idea he had this huge tv producing career. I’m at the chess match scene of the book and the tension is so intense.

Are they the biggest landlord of “SFHs” though? I think there’s a categorical error here. The % of SFHs that are owned by institutional investors for rent as compared to all SFHs is extremely small. PE ruins all sorts of industries but the culprits in housing are the hard to demonize mom and pops.

The real question these reactionary fake leftists should be asking, is why can Bill Kristol see and say this but a majority of our Dem leaders won’t?

And you voted to censure the lone Palestinian dem elected in the House! I fear these literal fucking Nazis. I don’t fear a Palestinian dem from Detroit.

Yet you can’t call him out on his anti-semitism with your full chest since you’re on record calling your fellow Muslim Dems, Jew haters. I’m your constituent. I am Jewish. I am concerned about Jewish safety and that’s why I am voting for Brad Lander instead of you. They’re literal fucking Nazis!

It’s such a fuck you to riders. Taking Amtrak/NJT from Penn station saves you so much time over the car. But then you give it all back in the last mile. Absurd. I once gave up transatlantic biz class tickets at 5:30 out of EWR for 9 pm coach out of JFK, since I couldn’t make the early flight.

I love the juxtaposition of the cheery campaign music during the final momentous scene. What a coda. Cinema!

I’m halfway through now. It’s a crime that it hasn’t been adapted to a movie.

I’m halfway through and it’s so begging to be made into a movie. I have the ebook and the audio book and the fact that it’s Ron Perlman doing the read, makes it even more “cinematic” feeling. I guess him shitting the bed with the GoT ending hurt him but it has an off the shelf ready screenplay.

Yah, it’s pretty bad. He doesn’t believe in anything. At one point, he was a top tier NYC/NYS local focused journalist. Now, it’s pretty obvious he sees his professional advancement based on being this type of “contrarian” Lib, facts be damned. He’s completely betrayed his first principles.

I just hate how the bullshit treatment to allow cars to access it, coupled with the totally unnecessary handful of street spots there, totally fuck up the bike lane.

A bonafide case of actually trying to steal an election. Something that is presented as The Most Important Thing In The World. The NYT’s only covers it after the NYPost breaks it, in a “whimsical” unserious angle, with a journalist based out of Albany.

Would love to see similar “fixes” for 4th ave as it connects to Ashland in Brooklyn. The bike “curb cut” is like perma-blocked by vendors.
