Whilst in power Jimmy Carter supported several brutal dictatorships, with a long record of human rights abuses, in order to further the interests of the US empire. For some reason liberals (who purport to care about freedom) aren't talking about facts so well known they're on his wikipedia page.

Watching US internal political debates as a third worlder never fails to leave me feeling a type of way. Like being part of an impoverished mass looking at a dictator's palace wondering what plans they've cooked up for you that you have absolutely no say in. Will they be nice? Will they kill you?

Don't you dare look away. This is what Harris meant when she said "I will never hesitate to take whatever action is necessary to defend our forces and our interests against Iran and Iran-backed terrorists."

Nonstop reign of terror being unleashed on my people tonight thanks to Biden. Road to the country’s only airport bombed. Road out of #Lebanon bombed. Hospitals bombed. They are terrorising my friends, loved ones, children.

All of this for Netanyahu. All of this because of Biden. #Israel

So I remember American centrist liberals on Twitter/Bluesky insisting and convincing me that Biden was going to impose an arms embargo any day now? That gonna happen, or should I hope that Iran would prove to be sufficiently threatening to Israel just like Egypt 1973?

Retreating here momentarily from Twitter. I know, I haven't forgotten about my book backlog, but I'm a bit busy with real life as it is. As for personal updates: last January I just signed up for labour union membership and told them I'd volunteer to make their website, so I'm working on that now.

Will go and give that Sukarno autobiography a read, followed by this book I just acquired on the Indonesian New Order-era transmigration program. Hopefully I can finish these soon enough so I can talk about them.
