After 8yrs of #50swomen #waspi campaigning it goes back to parliament to decide how to remedy. #PHSO would have recommended compensation at level 4. Level 4 (£1,000 to £2,950)

When a Westminster Hall debate is oversubscribed, you can tell it’s about a hot potato for the govt. New Pensions Minister
@torstenbell.bsky.social was jeered as he tried to defend the govt refusal to pay #WASPI compensation. The anger from cross party MPs was palpable.

Pensions prescience indeed from Henry.

Torsten’s book (a Christmas present) has just crept to the top of my “next to read” pile.

I hope he puts in a few years to this gig.

UK govt wrong to deny pension compensation to the 1950s women.

Ombudsman urged apology and compensation. Govt apologized but no compensation.

No point of an independent report if recommendations ignored.

Govt that funds foreign wars can fund justice.

Could it be to do with the threshold being way below the #poverty line, & the unfair 2 tier threshold that prevents anyone on full new #StatePension from applying? Including many asset-stripped
