Nothing will change until the political system is freed from the clutches of corporations and the super-rich
The law is being used to enforce existing power structures for the benefit of the few

He needs to be replaced in the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee; Budget; Foreign Relations; and Armed Services committees. Give them to someone who will hold the line with the party. If Schumer doesn’t strip them, he gets voted out.

Build social housing?? Oh god we can't possibly do that, don't you know we're spending all the state resources (bar our own hefty wages and pensions obviously) on luxury living for refugees? You know, like the ones sleeping in tents along the canal.

This is also a problem. We have an ageing population. The highest retirement age and the lowest pensions in Europe. Labour sadly are thinking of taxing pensions further. It means many elderly are continuing to work long past retirement age. As we age our immune systems are less able to cope with 🧵
Take into consideration too, that a lot of the workforce are elderly because they stick at the jobs. But do much do, their health after years of work has diminished. Longer hours, no wage increase, higher retirement age. And the youth, can’t get jobs because of this.

Every federal agent or contractor involved in this should be prosecuted, and they should lose their jobs and pensions.
Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

You can't change higher rate tax relief on pensions (which has been talked about) without removing salary sacrifice for pensions - otherwise everyone would just avoid it.

Cook county started gaining traction on getting their pensions funded via a sales tax hike and the city needs to recognize that a property tax hike is coming at some point and the longer they put it off, the worse it’s going to be.

Farage is a Thatcher knock-off!
If you are supporting Reform, have a think, do you want a return to the brutal days of Hillsborough, the Miners’ Strike, soaring unemployment, an end to mass council housing, state pensions plummeting & when the family silver was sold off cheaply?

I’m starting to wonder if it is a deliberate policy of Moscow, to send its soldiers to almost certain death, because they don’t want them back in Russia causing trouble and claiming pensions. If they can capture a bit more territory for Moscow before pushing up sunflowers, so much the better.
