Before we hate on the Met Gala again, it is a CHARITY fund raiser to keep the Costume Institute open.

As the Met Gala approaches, I want to remind people that the Gala is the primary source of funding for the Met’s Costume Institute. The Costume Institute, despite being a major draw for the museum, is not funded from the same big kitty due to misogyny (fashion is for girls).

and it makes me so mad how much agency was taken from him in the story - especially as a disabled person - and that isnt at all addressed, its treated as if it were his choices.

this is making the rounds again for some reason but i still think abt how badly woobified viktors been made by both riot and the fandom. a character whose defiance and rage and revolution DEFINED him, whod reached a breaking point and decided to forcefully reclaim his life and his body
something about a disabled character from the oppressed class that is widely headcanoned to be transmasc not allowed to be angry, you cant make this shit up...

If you become disabled, the system will do everything in its power to try and not help you. Disabled people have been telling you this for decades. We can't just get all of our needs met. Most barely get enough to survive. The system is designed to fail us.
