As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

It’s probably a typo and I was supposed to set out a minefield. But mines are horribly inhumane and none of the mimes said a word as I buried them.

Ghost Show Press needs your help to get their latest book of film essays over the finish line. I've written for several of their books (but not this one) and they're always tons of fun, with great writing about a wild array of movies. Join me in backing the book!

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can lose their job.

Anyone can become homeless.

Anyone can go hungry.

These are not moral failings. They can happen in an instant.

Most people are far closer to living in poverty than they realize.

We must fight for one another & for the most vulnerable.

Honestly we'd be a much better world if all art from over fifty years ago were just available for free instead of locked behind pay-to-watch streamers, overpriced home video releases, or just non-existent beyond piracy. Public domain takes too long and copyright owners usually suck.
After leaving HBO Max earlier this year, ‘Looney Tunes’ is a hit on Tubi, the company says, and popular across generations. It should be a model for every classic cartoons trapped in streaming limbo.

Some days are a battlefield,
And Mars the God of War.
"Tiu's his name," Germanic tongues proclaimed,
And made it Tuesday, heretofore.
Tuesdays are a battlefield.

Mars was the Roman god of war.

The Germanic equivalent was Tīw or Tiu (Norse = Tyr).

This is why today is called ‘Tuesday.’

And why it’s mardi/martes/martedì in the Romance Languages.

Reminding you that the single greatest comic ever made (according to 100% of my moms) has a fifth collection out, and securing a copy for yourself and your loved ones assures you a +1 to your "whimsy."
