New in PN: A rickety dictatorship

"Trump’s increasingly desperate attempts to incite a civil war in advance of the midterms and the rejection of his party’s healthcare evisceration each demonstrate growing vulnerabilities of the nascent MAGA tyranny."

I'm tired. We're all tired. This isn't hard to understand. You can't inflate prices of basic necessities like food and housing to ridiculous highs while keeping wages at poverty levels, then act surprised when luxury goods/services and large purchases become unattainable or payments unaffordable.

Q: Are you asking the DOJ to look into the federal investigations into you and look for compensation, and how much are you asking for?

TRUMP: Um. Who is asking for what?

Q: Are you asking to pay compensation and how much?

T: I don't get any compensation. I do it for nothing. I gave up my salary

Have had so many conversations about my writing where I am, like, "Yes, life is sometimes unsubtle, but that can feel so unsatisfying in fiction," and this fuck keeps upping the ante as to _how_ unsubtle life can be.

This is definitely one of those things that people would’ve called you hysterical for predicting a year ago.

Trump is going to destroy the East Room of the White House without even asking Congress and build a ballroom with funds from private companies that are seeking favors? Settle down, lib.
