d' Eon is soo good, I don't remember ever seeing people who listen to the fantasy synth side of DS mentioning him and I feel like there is an obvious overlap. Also Fire-Toolz masters his stuff and Fire-Toolz rules

Released this ep a few weeks ago, three tracks of raw/atmospheric/epic black metal, kind of a throwback to the first album rather than continuing on the black/thrash direction of the next two.

Αddentum to the previous posts; not surprisingly, a "conversation starter" in extreme metal about fascism and complicity consists of the dominant, so called apolitical (right-wing) part of the scene coming together and bullying whoever is speaking out. We should keep talking to actually make it that

1) Ripped to Shreds cancelling a show with Master and calling them out because they played at Metal Threat is exactly the thing that's almost never done in the metal scene and makes a HUGE difference when it happens. It's a conversation starter about complicity in metal and most plp don't want it.

All that needs to be said about "Metal Threat festival". Your old regular nazi metal bands like Arghoslent, Grand Belial's Key and Graveland being brought in and playing together with well known "apolitical" metal bands. Fuck this shit, fuck complicity with nazism in the metal scene.

Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life.

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

Something I realized after hitting my head on walls with my music lately. The goal of underground metal can't be to sound as good/pro as mainstream, just to prove you can do it without budget. Nobody's listening for that reason anyway. It's to hear something interesting and different and unique

One of the albums I’ve had on heavy rotation lately. Excellent Hellenic black metal style album, courtesy of Phil Tougas of Chthe'ilist, Worm. Quite technical and heavy on power/thrash riffing, without sacrificing atmosphere. Also, antifascist lyrics

Getting back to this site after some time, things have been a little rough; I've been feeling alienated from social media and scenes lately, yet I want to push through. Caring about underground music seems increasingly meaningless during these times, yet it's one of the few things that still matter.

fiadh is me rediscovering hope after trauma, disability & death in my personal life, over a decade of sexual harassment, misogyny & disrespect working in your big “trve cvlt” music industry, burnout in animal rights, embracing my queerness & becoming a mom to 2 little ones with special needs.
Since I spent some chunk of last night arguing with leftist metalheads who were hating on cutesy and whimsical aesthetics in black metal I will again proudly rep the best underground metal label at the moment.

Kvlty gatekeepers cannot comprehend the true power of cuteness and whimsy.
If there are 1,000,000 The Fiadh stans then I am one of them.
If there are 100 The Fiadh stans then I am one of them.
If there are 0 The Fiadh stans then I am dead.

People who think "this right thing now is really popular so we should adopt it, so that people at least don't get it from fascists" never achieve anything other than pushing themselves and the Overton window to the right. Politically, that means. For them it works out just well, cause popular.

The West rears its ugly head and does not give a fuck any more. Even the old pretenses of cultural superiority and perseverance of democracy and liberalism are waning. The only hope for a future is to be traitors to our nations and fight for justice globally. Nobody is free until everybody is free.

I've had the passing thought lately that many leftist bands associated with "cascadian bm" weren't political enough. But I remembered tonight that many participated in part of the movement I'm not that familiar with (ecology, animal liberation). Singing about nature/animals IS political for them.
