That may have been the best playmaking I have ever seen from Mathurin on that play. Passing up the deep contested 3, to drive and then make a hook pass to Shep on the wing. Great maturity from him.

I know they should theoretically be competing for similar roles, but I want to see Jarace and Furphy to play all their minutes together. I love how they balance each other out.

Peter's effort on defense really stands out. There have been a few balls flying out of bounds that he has flown to save.

Everything is a game of inches, especially when it comes to the playoffs, but this is an interesting look at the difference between salaries and impact for centers.

The contracts we've been seeing for Reid, Poeltl and Turner have raised questions. So I wanted to plot how the cap hit relates to the impact we saw last season, specifically for centers.
For non-rookie / non-max deals, Zubac looks like the biggest steal.

@tonyreast.bsky.social I'm preempting the article and podcast you will do, but does this mean that the Pacers have the potential to use the midlevel to take on another team's player? If so, would be interesting if they do it to fill the hole at center or maybe take back some bad money for an asset

I think Rick was smart to shrink the bigs rotation to 3, but the short rest seemed to wear on them. This is where having Jarace would have been really nice.

These Pacers play best when they feel like they are the under dog, and I think the flagrant on Obi made them feel like the Refs are against them.
I think it pissed them off and they play really when they are pissed off.
