“jesse singal deliberately violated our community guidelines and terms of service multiple times so we had no choice but to ban him from the platform” this scenario is not exactly difficult to navigate if u actually prioritize user safety instead of just paying lip service
At some point in the next 2 years, the admins of Bluesky will 100% have to testify under oath in front of the Republican House of Representatives and will get asked explicitly why they chose to ban Jesse Singal if they ban him.

My extremely unpopular opinion is that the left wing needs to engage in agitprop and smear campaigns just as ruthlessly as the right wing do. That's clearly what the people respond to, and there's a whole lot more material to throw at the right wing than they have on us.
