The pedestrian staircase up to the Pont Guillaume le Conquérant is adorned with a well executed graffiti showing Rowan Atkinson. Just... why?

There's always "Wolford Chapel in Devon, England... The building and land are publicly owned by the Canadian province of Ontario, and flies the Flag of Canada despite being in the English countryside." Wikipedia.

#MosaicMonday this week features an extraordinary #mosaic wall panel from #Pompeii via #Naples. The amazingly rich effect of wall mosaics was due in part to their reduced exposure to wear and tear, unlike floor mosaics, and in part to their material, #glass rather than stone.

A section of the Roman Wall at St. Albans which was built between AD 265 to 270 to defend the Roman city of Verulamium. The surviving sections are located in Verulamium Park which is a short walk from the city centre. 📸 My own. #RomanSiteSaturday #RomanBritain
