Christmas card created c.midC20th, by George Buday, at Netherne Hospital where he was compelled live.
One of many cards he designed for art therapist Edward Adamson, Buday was a professional artist & historian of Christmas cards, who had his own studio in an old summerhouse in the hospital grounds

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!

Here’s painter Antoni Malinowski, leading a tour of his exhibition with photographer Helene Binet at Pitzhanger Manor.

Christmas Lates (Thurs 5 December) will feature a special programme animating Malinowski’s work.

It features readings by Martin Crimp and a dance performance by Yong Min Cho.
