The racism of new atheists is not in correctly identifying the patriarchal structure of Islam lol. It’s in the fact that they respond to evangelical patriarchy by “we need to educate and empower people leaving their faith”, and they react to Muslim patriarchy by “We need to exterminate them”.

Man this Bluesky place is getting lively. I hope in this dark time for women’s rights no one starts posting about the fact that women in Japan during the sexual revolution took the opposite approach and started dressing overly modest so they could conceal weapons and do crime. That would be terrible
