For me, if the GOP continues to control federal govt, then I will work hard for CA to secede from the Union. California doesn't need the rest of the country and it's time we stopped financing their hateful policies.

Agreed. Also think that California should secede, at least financially. But imagine if the 4th largest economy just peaced out, did have to deal with the 2nd Amendment, provided health care, and taxed billionaires.

There were multiple protests in SF today. @sfchronicle.com reports "hundreds" attended the one at Market and Powell.

29% is definitely too low. Our June poll found that 44% of Californians would vote Yes on a ballot measure that would start the process of peaceful secession (with 54% No).

A clear majority of Californians have thought CA would be better off independent since Feb. 2024.

Interesting! This seems to be referencing our January 2025 poll, but we actually ran another one in June 2025. See ic.institute/poll

California is already entering into pacts with countries, sending state representation where only countries would attend. It's a soft secession.

I did a lot of voter outreach on Prop 50. So many people (normies 😊) said it didn’t go far enough. Wanted to talk about California secession. People are PISSED.

I'm starting the take the California secession movement more seriously. As a lifelong Californian, I don't know why I would want to support a Federal government that doesn't know how to govern, or attempts to do so from the point of a view of a shitty mob crew.

Okay. I don't love AI art, but as far as I know, there's only one AI image on the whole site, meant ironically. Is that what you're referring to?
