Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.

There is no reason to use Gen AI to illustrate anything. There’s excellent clipart you can get very cheaply. A lot of human illustrators will do something very cheaply if they believe in the project and know your funds are limited. Gen AI is created from stolen labor.

I found my old notes from when I was taking biomedical science and it's... surreal. (I dropped out of that course of study because it didn't suit me and I started studying psychology instead.)

I will say, the one good thing about my middle and high school bullies is that they were direct with me about what they found so off-putting about me.
