Has a movie studio as legendary as Warner Bros had a harsher, more mind-boggling plummet?

To me, modern Christmas music era starts around Little Saint Nick. Basically once who we know as classic rock bands and Motown started making Christmas songs. All the crooning and choir crap before that is traditional.

Contemporary is a different meaning. To me that’s just always recent years.
Question: what is the cut-off for "modern" or "contemporary" Christmas music? It has dawned on me that a lot of Xmas songs that I think of as "modern" rather than "traditional" are actually like 40 years old lol

Everything is stupid.
‘Wicked: For Good’ is a box-office smash. Now, the process of figuring out another sequel is ‘underway’ at Universal, the studio’s chief marketing officer tells us.

The box office is validating Disney’s worst filmmaking trends. It’s just going to be “live” action remakes and inferior sequels from here out.

Meanwhile two great Marvel movies didn’t conquer at the box office and we need to hear about stifling their output.

How are these movies going to make a profit?
Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel have signed deals worth over $60 million each to return for #Frozen3 and #Frozen4, TheWrap has exclusively learned.

Jennifer Lee, the lauded director of the first two films, is also back: https://bit.ly/4a4hhmd

1. I honestly didn’t think Cheney was still alive.

2. We all agree that the President will simultaneously honor him and insult him, right?

I’ve never actually been to D.C. (which is absurd having lived all my life in NJ). My friend took his family there recently and I said I couldn’t see myself doing it anytime soon. I just can’t reconcile the history with the volume of terrible people operating there and what it’s become a symbol of.

Drew Struzan posters made any movie look like it was going to be great.

Today’s posters make great movies look like they could’ve sucked.

The amount of bullpen games that happen in short playoff series in baseball is embarrassing and just makes me want to abandon the sport. How do teams get this far and then think this is a sound strategy, particularly when they gas their bullpens by pulling their good starters so early?

12 years old, you say?
Trump: Hepatitis B is sexually transmitted. There's no reason to give a baby that's almost just born Hepatitis B. So I would say wait until the baby is 12 years old and formed and take Hepatitis B.

When Chadwick Boseman passed away, the MCU lost both a charismatic actor and a character that would’ve been at the core of the heroes moving forward. Some heroes have been undermined by the quality of subsequent stories (Thor, Sam/Cap) while some aren’t meant to be at the core (Shang Chi, Spidey).

Some variation of “Under no circumstances look to the right, men!” from MST3K, whenever watching other movies ‘hide’ characters in plain sight.

And another MST3K gag: whenever a character points at another (in dramatic tone): “Pull my finger.”
What's the most random/obscure thing you quote?

In "The Stand' by Stephen King (complete/uncut ed iirc), a character called The Kid would sometimes say "how do you like that happy crappy?" and I often say that to myself/out loud for various reasons lol.

I would boycott CBS but it’s a trash heap I already go nowhere near. But maybe I’ll find another way to watch Strange New Worlds and avoid Paramount’s shitty streamer.

I’ve had virtually every major reveal in Ironheart spoiled because Instagram insists on dumping Threads teases in my feed. I’m just there to look at photos, not ragebait and spoilers.

These techbros and their inventions are the worst.
