One of the things i am not hearing mentioned during tariff discussions is how weak the dollar has become since King Midas took the throne. The dollar has fallen approx 10% on average to other currencies.
So as an importer, you’re not only paying tariffs, but also buying with a weaker dollar.

Newgrounds is rejecting UK-style age checks like ID uploads and facial recognition. Instead, they consider account age, past purchases (credit card required), or require a small verification fee.
Smart workaround, but risky. If face/ID becomes the industry norm, this might not fly in the U.S.

If this happens, I won't be posting anything anymore. So if you care at all, you should be calling your representatives and informing them about the inherent security risks of ID verification and that you are vehemently opposed.

As someone who works in the disability space and does communications, I'm constantly reminding people that the r-word is a slur. It's thankfully been excised from most official uses but I still see it used casually too often.

Best I can tell, the reasoning is: "The r-word was used a lot when I was in high school and therefore, because I'm not a mature adult, being asked not to use a slur oppresses me. I must right this injustice and pretend I am still living in my more glorious past by using that particular slur."
Others have remarked on this but the resurgence of the R word across the political spectrum is really wild? Like did I miss a memo about this? I expect it from some people but from others, you really can't come up with a better and more interesting way to describe people you don't like?

I mean somebody tried to harass me for saying the r word is a slur & that was frightening but it still is a slur! And I think more back me up to encourage me in having said that with my aim having been to contribute to conditions less harmful to vulnerable.
