I admit I am "just a title" artist, but that title itself gives some clarity to the piece. I am more than willing to discuss my work if asked questions, but this is a two-way relationship that should be nourished between viewer and artist. I personally enjoy letting people reach conclusions.
It's become commonplace to see artists post a piece with only a name, or no description at all.
You learn nothing about the artist, what that piece meant to them, what the process was like. You are left with an image to glance at and move along, with no deeper connection to the artist.
