pretending you were asking for more information was the best way to try to get the humans to realize they were doing something stupid.

The pull-quote from this interview with David Suzuki is noteworthy--but I think the entire interview is worth reading. I've admired David Suzuki and his commitment to public-science education for years, and I still do.
Listen to David Suzuki (vulgar b/c angry): "It’s crazy that we celebrate people who are billionaires...We should have awards & whenever someone achieves $100 million, which is already obscene, we give them a bronze statue of a dick, & when you get $1 billion, we could give them an even bigger dick"
“Now, it is too late. I’ve never said this before to the media, but it’s too late.”

Much of the genuinely working class doesn’t work on an assembly line anymore. They work in retail, as cleaners, in the Amazon warehouse, in food service, as delivery drivers…

Many nonwhite workers DEFINITELY want to talk about racism.

This idea of “working class” is racist and out-of-date.
So this is what we're doing now. Cool cool cool.

From the opinion page of today’s NYTimes: “One of the most maddening aspects of the 2024 election is the extent to which so many voters viewed Trump as a mostly normal political candidate.” Hmm, I wonder what newspaper was giving voters an idea like that!
