The fact that literally zero outlets ever cover crime decline as a story is a huge reason. (And before you yell at me, we do!)
This @today.yougov.com poll is why I'm going to become the Joker.

The US murder rate in 2024 was likely down nearly 30 percent relative to 2020 and down nearly 50 percent relative to 1990.

If this passes, it'd be the first partisan rescissions package in history (it's filibuster-proof).

Impossible to do bipartisan approps deals when Congressional Rs insist on immediately changing them on a partisan basis afterwards.

A deal is a deal. If we can't stick to our deals, deals will cease.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking the Dept. of Education, science, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

It's fascism.

Never before in U.S. history has one man exercised such unbridled discretion affecting the lives of so many, while simultaneously preventing others — Congress, the courts, the American people — from having a say or even knowing what he’s going to do next.

This is dictatorship.

The Trump regime is about to burn 500 tons of USAID emergency food. Why?
Because it expired after its shipment was delayed.

1.5 million children could have eaten for a week. Now, taxpayers will spend $130K for it to be destroyed.

This isn’t just inefficient – it’s cruel.
