Los Angeles is not a stranger to this sort of thing. I’m proud of them and afraid for them both.
The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets.

After all, line drawings of imaginary worlds are difficult. I spend a lot of time thinking about the various worlds and shapes in my mind and very little time actually moving my hands. The speed of art production is slow, but it is also enjoyable.

To those writers and note-takers who like to use pencils: please consider the absolute, buttery luxury of using artist's graphite pencils. All the line-weight control of pens, none of the plastic.
For reference, most commercial pencils are HB grade. I use 4B - easier on my heavy-handed wrist.
