There’s a lot of people who want to fight fascism yet won’t wear a mask

Fascism & eugenics go hand in hand. They’re coming for the disabled and chronically ill

Wearing a mask shows solidarity with disabled people, while also protecting your health so you’re better equipped for the fight

Mask up

Every reporter and media person should have alt text set to default and it’s very frustrating to see accounts with big followings who claim that their attention to detail and truth is why they’re worth following not put alt text on images…especially when those images are text-based!

"people should start saving now" is an awful shitty thing to say to the 7.5M disabled people on SSI who legally cannot save more than $2k without losing their benefits which are a max of $943 a month to fucking begin with

Nearly 13 million people in the U.S. hold green cards.

Tens of thousands more are here temporarily as foreign students and professors.

All are now in danger of being arrested by the Trump regime if they exercise their First Amendment rights.
The Trump regime will arrest some of you in the middle of the night because you spoke your mind

It's cute and fun when senators act like Social Security is only for retired people, like it's a future speculative thing for people with 401ks to worry about, and not something about 15M disabled people & our families, mostly living below the poverty line, rely on in the current present moment
If Donald Trump & Elon Musk have it their way, your Social Security will be privatized and your benefits will be entirely reliant on the stock market.

If you want a sense of what that'll be like – take a look at your 401k today.

5 years of pro infection Covid policies have made it easy for measles to make a comeback.

People have decided infection control is weakness. Masks are political. Clean air isn’t worth it. Kids need to get sick to get healthy.

We must change the narrative. Mask up. Stay home when sick. Resist.

People assume they’ll be the exception. That disability, poverty, homelessness won’t befall them

That if something “bad” happens, they will be able to “try harder” their way out of it.

This false belief allows them to blame the ones who are suffering, instead of the oppressive systems that trap us

If you think mask bans are “no big deal” because there’s medical exemptions, consider the following:

Police are not doctors
Many disabilities are invisible
Everyone should have the right to protect their health
Criminalizing masks sends a message that maskers are “bad”. It emboldens anti-maskers
‘Scared to put on my mask’: Cancer patient says she was intentionally coughed on in spat over mask
