![We mourn the passing of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a fearless Black transgender elder whose life embodied the struggle for liberation, dignity, and justice. From the Stonewall uprising to her decades of advocacy for incarcerated trans women and communities of color, Miss Major taught generations to resist oppression and love each other fiercely in the face of state violence. Her legacy is one of radical care and defiant joy, a reminder that true freedom means leaving no one behind. May her spirit continue to guide us as we fight for the world she envisioned.
