This will be the best 12 minutes and 22 seconds of your day. Grab your Kleenex and watch until the end, because yes, the dogs WERE good again this year. ❤️

What a deeply lovely gift
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

The current Supreme Court has forfeited all legitimacy.

Democrats (and everyone) need to address that reality.

John Roberts > Roger Taney.

Court needs to expand. And have fixed terms—like *every* other supreme court in developed world. And have ethics rules, like all normal organizations.

DURBIN'S NOT EVEN RUNNING AGAIN, the gutless fuck.
CALL ALL OF THEM. SAY PRIMARY.

"Sens. Jacky Rosen (Nev.), Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Mark Kelly (Ariz.),Jon Ossoff (Ga.), Gary Peters (Mich.) &Dick Durbin (Ill.) were among the Democrats who participated in secretive negotiations to end the shutdown & are considered possible “yes” votes for the deal."

just to clarify (and kevin knows this so don’t @ him) call no matter who your senators are. the caucus will pay attention to backlash
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Newsom: "Think about the state of mind of the VP. How do you square the circle when you go to a prayer breakfast? Old testament, new testament. What's the fundamental thing that connects John to Matthew to Proverbs? It's this notion of hunger, feeding the poor. It's central to advancing God's will."

Amazon and Walmart are two of the biggest recipients of SNAP and Medicaid funds because they don't take care of their employees. Families working 40+ hours a week requiring gov subsistence. In Canada they go to food pantries to make ends meet.

Corporations are the real "welfare queens" of society

Sen. Kelly: Let me tell you a story about a guy named Brent from Mesa. He gets his health care from the ACA. He pays $339 a month. That's going to go up by $900 to over $1,100 a month. He can't afford it. This guy has an autoimmune disease. This isn't fair to him

While inflating food prices through idiotic tariffs, cutting food aid to the poor, and bailing out his friends in Argentina, Donald Trump bulldozes the East Wing and builds a lavish monument to himself using extortion money.

If the Democrats can't win against that, well, I don't know.

This is the ad Donald Trump woke up furious about.

Would be a shame if it went viral.

This is such a nuanced and big-hearted piece on the evolution of autism as a diagnosis, by an anthropologist of mental health who is also the dad of a now-grown daughter on the spectrum. Great reading (gift link) www.nytimes.com/2025/09/24/o...
