I strongly oppose Trump’s stated desire to prosecute his enemies, but when he inevitably turns on Elon for upstaging him, if he targets his DOJ on Elon (and there’s plenty of valid bases for doing so), I won’t be attending any protests. It might be healing.

They’re already working to call this the “signal hoax” just like the “Russia hoax” and the “both sides hoax” and all the other “hoaxes” that weren’t hoaxes, but rather inconvenient truths that made them look terrible. Let’s be very clear about that.

My naive thoughts on the perhaps quickest way to reverse the spiral into despair….
There are enough moderate and vulnerable GOP house members that could and should be convinced to switch parties for the sake of the country. Turn over control to the democrats, restore robust and swift oversight.

I’m a dual citizen of the US and Germany. I’ve spent a total of maybe 10 days in Germany in my entire life. Sadly, Germany far more aligns with my values today than the shit show we’ve allowed to fester in the US.
