In Scotland, people are (very rightly) unhappy that only 4% natural woodland cover remains.

Spare a thought for poor Ireland, at around a mere 1%.

Nowhere else on Earth is in such desperate need of rewilding.
Where are the trees?
We have A LOT of this landscape and less than 4% native woodland. This should be a rich mosaic of habitats, moor, bog, woodland, montane scrub…We force it to remain in this artificial state. We don’t need to give every inch of our uplands over to sheep, grouse and deer stalking.

A reminder also, that while COVID is supposedly ‘mild and over’ for the rest of us. At Davos Hepa air purifiers were everywhere. Mandatory PCR testing also for attendees confirmed 2023 when the Pandemic was supposedly officially over. The same was true for the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

People could wear respirators and stop this. Influenza doesn't magically appear in your body because it's cold outside. Someone who is infected breathes it out, and you breathe it in. IT'S AIRBORNE like cigarette smoke. Washing your hands won't stop it unless you breathe through your damn hands.
⚠️ BREAKING:

Mutant H3N2 Influenza Surges in the U.S., Driving 18 Million Illnesses, 230,000 Hospitalizations, and 9,300 Deaths

At least 15 children died of flu last week; this season’s total is 32.

Everyone needs to be offered regular vaccines and we need #Layeredmitigations

The European Society of cardiologists are advising this but UKHSA aren’t giving messaging on this. Why not?

There is no virus that “only” causes serious harm in people who are high-risk. And even if there were, it would still be important to protect yourself and others. Please take steps to prevent getting and spreading illness in order to protect your own health and the health of others.

Good advice wherever you live 👇
Flu deaths in NC are very high, reaching 134 so far this season, compared to 74 at this time last season. Wear masks to protect yourself & others; get vaccinated to lower your risk of infection, severe illness, & death; & stay home if you aren't feeling well. Data: covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard/re...

Not everything is Covid but currently we have a situation with constant false narratives, where it is never COVID. It’s absolutely unscientific.

Everyone needs vaccine access as a minimum @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social or risks vascular & immune damage. We also need #CleanAirEverywhere and good messaging on ffp2/3 respirators as vaccines were designed to reduce severity, not fully prevent infections.

We need full loud transparency on the number of lives lost, or how can we hope to progress? There are ongoing deaths. We have now no idea how many millions have died. This was a couple of years ago and I still see the 7 million figure, which is no reflection of the reality of the situation quoted..

Why are we still masking?
Some people might wonder why St. Margaret’s continues to take precautions against the spread of Covid in our community when it feels like the rest of the world has moved on. Our decision may make...

A Quebec survey among healthcare workers found a 17% cumulative risk of long COVID after acute infection, with risk increasing after each reinfection. Estimated prevalence was 5.6% in this population, while other research suggests global rates may reach up to 40% among healthcare workers.
