The ACA isn't just "health care for people who don't have a conventional employer." It also disallows something that was incredibly common 20 years ago, which I fear is getting lost to generational memory: insurance companies could deny you health care for essentially any previous health problem.
I'm dubious about Amazon's commitment to keeping pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.

I normally don't get political on here but there are some students that survived the shooting at Brown University tonight that are survivors from shootings at their high schools. The US has failed it's children. There are just no fecking words any more.

Measels, a once eradicated disease, is making a strong comeback thx to the death wishes of RFKjr, his band of lunatics @CDC, & Trump. I may have only been 5 yo at when my twin bro and I contracted this disease, but I vividly remember how sick we were and this rash. Get vaccinated! It saves lives!

This is Brenda and Linda. They were brought into the shelter together, and Brenda had no interest in being separated from her friend. She jumped the kennel wall to get to Linda, and made sure everyone knew they're a package deal. The best news? It worked: They were adopted together. 14/10 for both
