After the EP elections last year, @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu adopted the Manfred Weber criteria that she would work with all political forces that are "pro-EU, pro-rule of law and pro-Ukraine".

Today, the US government fulfills none of these criteria.

Allies must act as allies.

We must respect each other's sovereignty.

Europeans do not share the same vision as the Americans on various issues. This is natural. What we cannot accept is the threat of interference in Europe’s democratic life.
