Do people understand the broad state of studies and surveys regarding gender transition? Like, when I say there's no actual debate we understand that all the data agrees that access to medical, legal, and social transition is beneficial, right?

There are no distractions. It's all bad. Systematically stripping trans people of their rights, guys in balaclavas shoving any brown person with a tattoo into a ummarked vans, ending healthcare for millions. It's all in service of fascism and technofeudalism. It's all one thing. That's the point.

You either believe in bodily autonomy or you don't. I do. I believe that what you do with your body is your choice, and no one but you can give enthusiastic informed consent. I believe that coercing or forcing someone else to conform or use their body within your expectations is monstrous.

Get Your War on is a national treasure, one of the few*anythings* to capture the 9/11 and 2nd Gulf War's mix of fear, confusion, and anger; and he did it in real time. I swear, sometimes he'd post comics the same day their topics made the news.
There is actually a very accurate historical document of the post-9/11 vibes.

A clipart comic called Get Your War On.

This is a good thread on a group of obvious scammers that are — somehow — insanely popular among people who (correctly!) regarded QAnon with contempt
The Alt National Park Service account calls itself the official "resistance" team of the US National Park Service. With 887k followers, is one of the biggest accounts on Bluesky. It is the 11 most followed account according to some trackers.

This thread will dive into its activity.

The first, best solution to a writing block or any other creative impasse is to take a walk. Taking a walk is the “have you tried restarting it” of the creative industries. Wish I didn’t have to relearn this every time.

Not sure why we don't protest more. You're outside! Your friends are there! You all hate something! You get to make a sign! Cops don't like it! There are dogs!

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

Especially if you're on the fence about it, protest today. Fascism is isolating and lonely. Its very goal is to make you feel like you're the only person unwilling to accept a cult of personality. On days like today you fully realize there are more of us than there are them. You will feel better.

The bridge is lined with many gorgeous sculptures of men and women and children, most of which are in the kind of poses that show the sculptor was a fantastic observer of real people—holding hands, carrying children, leaning against each other, all just stunning work.
