Today we gathered to remember our brothers and sisters. We spoke their names. They are not forgotten. May their memory be a blessing. 💔

I recognize this is a silly aside from an incredibly serious situation.

But how funny would it be if FIFA rescinded his Peace Prize.
Donald Trump (winner of the FIFA Peace Prize) continues amassing warships in the Caribbean while bombing small vessels without any legal justification and threatening a full on invasion of Venezuela.

Congress has the power to block Trump’s march to war with Venezuela, but they need to hear from us.

Diego Pavia's spirit is contagious. At the end of that Heisman show, the main thing on my mind about Mendoza and Indiana was "we could totally beat those guys."

Diego Pavia's tenacity did him no good in a Heisman Trophy competition decided by voters. But that's OK. For Vanderbilt, this was hardly a defeat.

Context: NYT with a piece on birthright citizenship (14th amendment), claiming it’s a “notion that’s rare” among other countries (which is misleading).
But if that’s the standard, how about:
Can you imagine them describing the 2nd amendment (accurately) as a notion that is incredibly rare in the civilized world?

Great suggestion here by @gentryestes.bsky.social and an outlandish idea:
1. Stop the dang in-season CFP rankings
2. Scrap the SEC champ game and make it a game between the 2 teams with the most to play for.

Crazy? Yes. Better than what we’ve got? Also yes.

Cain defends racism because some of the people from Somalia have done terrible things.

Please put a list of the heinous things done by straight while males in this country in front of him and ask if that’s what he’s like.

I bet he’ll say of course not, that’s different 🤔
Fox News' Will Cain: "I’m sure there are very honorable law-abiding upstanding citizens and contributors from the Somali community here in the United States, BUT..."

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

The eye-opening thing for me is that Davidson County only accounted for 24% of the votes cast. So you could absolutely crush it in Nashville, which Aftyn did, and still lose pretty handily. Seems like it will take a Dem who can win Nashville AND Clarksville.
“Tonight, you sent a clear message loud and clear,” Matt Van Epps said to the crowd at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville during his election night party. “The people of Middle Tennessee stand proudly behind President Donald Trump.”

At 4:00 pm yesterday, airport traffic was backed up to Briley (and a truck vs bridge accident on 40W at Briley had that blocked). By 5:00, when I was driving back thru, 40E was backed up to 24, Briley S to 40E was to Elm Hill, and 40W to Donelson was on the (new) ramp. (1/2)
I didn’t see the wreck, but I guessed it was terrible. I’ve never seen anything like what was happening at the airport. Like, one tunnel is not going to touch that problem.
