People accuse me of lying bc I'm a historian but say I've worked in construction and disaster restoration for 15 years, also a licensed adjuster. So question... do yall think the hurricanes just skip over the historic buildings? Or is there a wizard army putting up a forcefield around the buildings?
Holy shit. In the Epstein data dump from House Oversight there is testimony from girls who say Trump assaulted and raped them when they were 12 and 13, then threatened them. It's from 2016. Maybe it was made public before and I was so busy I didn't hear about it. Trigger warning if you read it.

Someone remind me again how British universities are superior to American universities. I'll wait here, eating some beans on toast without a seasoning to be found.
holy shit: “Among the 2,000 UK adults surveyed, 85% were unaware that Britain forcibly transported more than 3 million Africans to the Caribbean, 89% did not know that Britain enslaved people in the Caribbean for more than 300 years” www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...

NEW: Welcome to the Great AI Bubble. Yes, it’s here. And yes, it’s going to burst.

It’s also got way more in common with the Epstein scandal than you really want to know.

I've been in bed sick for 3 days and am trying to catch up on the Epstein/Trump stuff. It's a good thing I don't have a stomach flu.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

It sounds like the beginning of an intervention
Pirro: "Mr President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America."

Another social experiment update: We definitely called this. The sermons from the churches who said no are coming out. Some are on YouTube, some are giving sermons in outrage that they were tricked. My favorite was a preacher who straight up called the woman a witch 😂
The places who said yes are mostly the people the evangelicals tell their parishioners to stay away from bc they're false prophets, evil, or whatever BS they're on that year. The ones who say no are the ones who pay no taxes with the understanding they are to help the community.

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

Another update. Appalachian Papaw gave a sermon today with tears running down his face the entire time bc he learned both that most churches were refusing to help someone in need and random people from all over donated a total of $75,000 this week.
2 Catholic churches, 1 non-denominational church, and 1 tiny Appalachian church where the man who answered the phone and it sounded like he was going to buy it out of his own pocket. The Evangelical and mega churches are telling her no.

There should be a study on running mates of failed campaigns. The ones in the 21st century aren't looking so hot.
- Joe Lieberman: prevented public option on ACA
- John Edwards: left politics in disgrace
- Sarah Palin: LOL
- Paul Ryan: labeled "worst Speaker ever"

People who live near these folks need to show up outside their houses, offices, wherever. They need to see with their own eyes that people are pissed and unwilling to compromise on healthcare. They are not worried enough about the opinions of their constituents.
We need to all hit the streets tomorrow and send the message that we do not want the Dems to give into letting people be stripped of Healthcare.
November 10, 2025 at 1:54 AM
The healthcare subsidies were worth the temporary pain to keep them in place. Everyone was blaming the GOP for this bc people understand healthcare is worth the fight. Now all this pain has been inflicted for no reason. That's 100% the fault of the Dems. AND you've taught the GOP you're chickens.

The Democratic Party, and I do mean all wings, loves to set fire to every bit of leverage and high ground they have for absolutely no reason at all.

I just ordered some sleeveless work shirts. I spent years being very uncomfortable and hot bc most corporate dress codes do not allow sleeveless blouses. So when I went to order company shirts, I just ordered the sleeveless ones. Because I own the fucking company and can wear what I want.

They already have the $ to keep people from starving. They refuse.

States try to feed people. They try to block it.

Now folks can’t fly home to their parents on Thanksgiving.

All in the name of raising insurance premiums.

It is absolute insanity for a president to fight so hard against feeding poor people.
NEW: The Trump admin told states it must immediately "undo" the work to provide full food stamp benefits, or face penalties. The feds sent this in a late-night memo, only adding to the chaos and confusion around SNAP. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

Update on this: some of the pastors are starting to get mad and defend other pastors. "There is no obligation to help the needy in Christianity." No kidding, that's the critique. The other Abrahamic religions got the memo. Jesus even demanded acts of charity. Christians created loopholes.

This is why they got rid of DEI. The last thing women want to hear is “smile more.”
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.
