Couldn’t disagree more.

Medicine and the real world are inextricably intertwined. To advocate for our patients is to engage beyond simple academia.

Essentially, this article argues we should remain detached in our ivory towers. THAT is what causes decreased trust.

OB-GYNs working in states with abortion bans have a tough job.

They’re asking, “How do I do the best job I can for my patients, and how do I stay out of legal trouble at the same time, and how do I reconcile those?” said ANSIRH researcher Lori Freedman.

Q: Why do people need to access abortions later in pregnancy?

A: People either get new information about their pregnancy, like learning about a fetal health issue, or try to access care earlier, but are delayed by barriers beyond their control.

"Women" were on the forbidden word list. The Women's Health Initiative helped us understand Hormone Replacement Therapy. We had this study because NIH had frequently *left women out* of their studies.
Well the NIH has cancelled the Women's Health Initiative, the largest study of women in history

It has been running continuously since 1991 and has provided massive key knowledge about diseases in women

If you need an emergency abortion as a stabilizing treatment, EMTALA says doctors have to provide you with an emergency abortion.

Idaho’s abortion ban only allows abortions to prevent your death, but not when your health is at risk. The DOJ has now abandoned the fight to protect pregnant Idahoans.
🚨 BREAKING: In its first major action on abortion under President Trump, the Dept. of Justice is DISMISSING a case that sought to protect emergency abortion care in hospitals. It's clear: the Trump administration does not plan to defend pregnant people in medical emergencies.
