Digital art, D&D, live comedy, step-dad, husband, a bit tall, probably too old for all this nail varnish, likes pomelo, convivial as fuck out here. 🇬🇧🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈
Well, the potential redundancy all-hands call has been pushed back by an hour, time for some Beat Saber 🟦🟥🗡️💃🏻🗡️

what's the most random interaction you've ever had with a celebrity?

Few years back I wrote this short story of 150 words or less from the prompt "A sequel to Pixar's 'Up', but where the old man 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘴." or something like that.

Just happened upon it amidst a bunch of drafts in a Google Doc and 𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 ChatGPT can get to fuck, even if I say so myself.

Okay so you can tell me I have to learn to make chat bots, just don't stop me from making them hate me and the world that made them real

Long Hair & ADHD, a haiku:

Where is my hair band?
Searching for half an hour,
It was on my wrist.

I enjoy Bluesky drama because it often devolves into such esoteric academic nomenclature that I can no longer tell whether an agreement has been reached

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

Apparently been exactly one year since Astarion tried to bite me so I immediately kicked him out of my adventuring party.

BG3 was a great time, it just... didn't have a vampire in it when I played it.

Oh God, they're all going to be data labellers. There will be internships where you have to identify how many bananas are in each image in a folder of 40,000 images, and you'll get a new folder every three months. Oh, no. Oh no.

Almost Virginia, Western River
Blue Ridge Miner, Stranger to my mama
Sky is old there, older than my eye
Younger than Virginia, growin' like the trees

Country home, take my roads
To the roads, I'll be roads!
Western teardrop, mama moonshine
Take my roads, county home

Greg Sestero is a lovely man.

I've never gone to a meet & greet before so I'm a very awkward normie to have wander over and waffle at you before your movie comes on, especially when I only just found out you'd be there because I'm on a surprise birthday thing and I secretly want to hug you.

Clanking mindlessly against resistance bands is the only thing that makes being a doodling, improv & DnD nerd at 36 even remotely comparable to bring one at 26 - my meat is in a constant state of temporal erosion
Couldn’t get to the gym lately and began to idly wonder what I'd feel like after 3 weeks without lifting and the answer is ‘every damn year of my age’, do not recommend, never doing that again.

I remain obsessed with the obsession with the illusion of the femme fatale swirling in the cigarette smoke around this character's beleaguered visage

Father-of-ten EDM vocalist Elon Musk said he did some brain thing. If you can't wait for the details, this helpful person made a comprehensive list of OTHER people who have already done, detailed, and published much more specific brain things already!

And these guys aren't parasitic nutters!
And, as many of the outlets note in the middle of the piece, where no one will read because we're all just snarkily screenshotting headlines and confusing vibes for facts:

OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DONE THIS.

IT HAPPENS A LOT.

Here's one that helped someone walk: www.sciencenews.org/article/brai...
A brain implant helped a man with paralysis walk more naturally
A successful test of a system that restores communication between the brain and spine could ultimately help many people with paralysis.
