I was really into those first batch of Telltale games, and I enjoyed Dispatch enough to power through in one sitting. I get how the narrative and the actual game sections play off each other, but kind of wish there was a more fleshed out version of the dispatching sections as more game than show.

There's a type of "mature" media, usually animated or in games, that is basically written on the level of YA but half the lines are bad sex jokes and overused profanity like 12 year olds talking when their parents aren't around.

The HHS report on gender affirming care released it's updated report showing they stacked its authors with anti-trans hate-group affiliated members, several of whom aren't even doctors with any sort of clinical experience. They selected their own ideologically friendly peer reviewers.

I think my specific frustration with Frankenstein adaptations isn't that they're bad. The whole mad science angle with electricity and stitched together corpses, that's cool, it's just a different thing. Unfortunately, it completely overwrote the popular idea of Frankenstein, and that's a shame.

Rereading Frankenstein since it's been years, and I wish even one adaptation had the nerve to just go "hey, don't worry about it" regarding the specifics of creation like the novel does.

The ACA fucking *sucks*, is a national shame, is confoundingly cruel and ineffective and insufficient and, also, simultaneously is SO MUCH MORE PREFERABLE to pre-ACA American healthcare it's not even close.
The thing about ACA is that if an American describes how it works to someone from literally anywhere else, the other person will be utterly horrified at its deliberate cruelty.
The way the horror of pre-ACA healthcare sounds to an American, is basically how ACA sounds to everyone else on earth.
