Don’t ban people from football, from wards, from park runs or from spaces. Find a way to include. Fund the research to understand levels of activity and need, then redesign things to accommodate. What we are doing to trans people is horrendous #LwithTheT
Took loads of photos at our office party and every one has Chris de Burgh’s massive face on the mounted TV in the background. Glaring at us, like an 80’s pop grinch. A Spaceman Came Travelling has haunted me since I worked in Dorothy Perkins

So I didn’t get a Spotify unwrapped, because Apple, but at least LinkedIn Park is telling me I’m a “seasoned pro”. I can rest easy now.

I love this. A useful explainer and simple message, when you really think about it.
Trans women and girls are being excluded from services across the UK that they've used for decades because of legal pressure and targeted campaigns.

We explain what just happened, and why blanket exclusion is a choice, not a necessity.

Only watching Christmas UK sitcoms specials every evening this in week, announced earlier in the day by a line from each. Last night’s “implants and a Dyson”.

I’m with this for tonight’s “The Ooh Aah bird is so called because it lays square eggs”.

I've set up a small monthly newsletter called Focus State.

With accessibility support shrinking in a lot of orgs, I wanted to create something that divides that gap, builds community, and makes the internet a bit more fun.

If you dig digital accessibility give it a look:

The BBC should be one of our big defences against all this. But its immune system has been compromised by “balance”. It’s been bullied into weakness, into a belief that it should have no beliefs, or both beliefs, just in case. An untenable position within fractured concensus reality.

Decided easiest option was to arrange a winter gathering in the office, rather than organise a place we could all meet. Temperature control got so out of hand for the menopausal women, some men put their coats back on. Turns out I’m great at Cornhole though

When we start unravelling progress under the guise of protection, to deny children an early understanding of diversity and difference, we do them a disservice.

Sad the Girlguiding movement faced pressure to change. I hope we get sensible, sensitive guidance soon. For trans people and for society

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. She’s alive today b/c work of activists who destigmatized the virus, pushed medical science to adapt & find ways to treat it, & advocated for gov health programs that helped fund her care. The current U.S. regime may want to go back in time, but we won’t let them.

Popped downstairs to let the dogs out. I’d left the radio on for them. Just heard Jeremy Vine get all falsely aerated and continually interrupt an MP about the OBR “black hole”, before inviting Edwina Currie to comment. Poor bloody dogs
