Had to look up some info for work on the proportion of the population that lives in urban areas. Over 50% globally, and 82% in Canada! How is it then that in Alberta we have a rural-controlled provincial government that is negatively impacting municipalities? 1/2

Teachers and unions were first (Bill 2).

Trans Albertans are next (Bill 9).

The UCP's 2025 AGM Resolutions reveal a much longer list of folks whose rights are at risk from the party's use of the notwithstanding clause.

David King delineates the choice Albertans face.

An education system that fosters community & solidarity

Or an education system that favours individual freedom/liberty

But you must make this choice assuming the veil of poverty - not wealth

What say you now?

Great job defending Reagan's legacy and principles, guys.

Hey, was he a big fan of Russia too?

We need laws against creating fake AI content of people's physical likeness without their consent. This isn't free speech; it's libel.
Andrew Cuomo’s campaign just posted — and quickly deleted — this AI-generated ad depicting “criminals for Zohran Mamdani.”

Features a Black man in a keffiyeh shoplifting, an abuser, a trespasser, a trafficker, a drug dealer, and a drunk driver all declaring support for Mamdani.

hello this sense of social isolation and purposelessness is often created by highly capitalist societies wherein traditional values associated with family and belonging to community are replaced by pursuit of wealth

when people can't achieve these, they turn to ideologies like fascism

Teachers: you know you've got a fair deal when, in a year from now, when the private schools come lobbying for money again, the government has to tell them "no," not because they want to, but because you've tied up everything in public education.

Don't stop until they roll back private funding.

“Fascism” isn’t a slur for politics we don’t like. It’s a precise word with precise meaning. And in the face of what’s happening right now in America, it’s the most honest one we have.

I’ll lay it out as plainly as I can. 🧵
